Atomic Apps AI web chat now hands off to a real person — only when one is actually there
Website visitors can ask for a callback any time, or connect with a live agent during the hours a business chooses to staff chat.
LONG BEACH, Calif. — September 22, 2026 Atomic Apps AI today added "Reach a human" to its AI Web Chat, the website chat widget that answers visitors from a business's own content. When a visitor wants a person, they now get two clear choices: get a callback, or connect with a live agent.
A callback can be requested at any hour. The visitor leaves a name and number, the request lands with the business as a lead right away, and nobody sits in a queue waiting for a reply.
"Connect with a live agent" is offered only when someone can actually pick it up. Two conditions must both be true: the business is inside the chat hours it has set, and a team member has marked themselves available. If either is false, the option is shown as unavailable and the visitor is pointed to a callback instead. A business that forgets to switch itself off at night never leaves a visitor waiting on an empty chat.
Businesses set their live-agent hours by the day of the week in their Atomic Apps AI dashboard, separately from phone hours, so AIRIN can keep answering calls around the clock while human chat is staffed only during the day.
AI Web Chat uses the same approved business knowledge as AIRIN on the phone. More at atomicapps.ai/web-chat.
